Our examinations are open to all traditional Karate stylists and not limited to only Shotokan practitioners. Our aim is to perpetuate the exceptional levels of Asai style Karate.

When a member of any JKS dojo passes a Dan exam (see syllabus below), she or he will receive an official JKS ranking. However, practitioners from other Shotokan dojos or other styles will not be required to perform any JKS kata and can replace the JKS kata requirement with kata from their own style.

The certified dan rank by the well known karate organizations in Japan will be honored (required to show a copy of Dan Diploma). The organizations include JKA, Karate no michi, SKIF, JSKA, WSKF, and ISKF.
